  2. New Modes: As players suit up as Kaneki, they will find more power, speed, and luster with new game modes
  3. New Characters: The Ghoul has newly added characters that will make humans shiver in his presence.

This new story plot offers amazing twists and turns. As the studio puts it, “It’s an agile and ferocious blend of gameplay that promises to bring unique new elements to The Entity’s Realm.”

When Was Dead by Daylight Created?

Dead by Daylight

You will definitely love the history of this series. Dead by Daylight was released by Behaviour Interactive in 2016 and focuses on horror gaming. The story is based on beings, humans and ghouls, trapped in a battle-torn realm.

Gamers must choose a side and face tension and terror.

You will join over 2 million daily players and about 60 million worldwide across multiple platforms. In its short 30-year history, it has been published in many different forms.

What is the Story of Tokyo Ghoul?

You may already be asking, who’s celebrating ten years of Anniversary? The truth is, the Tokyo Ghoul series has everyone talking. So, if you dig terror and action, this is your gig.

The series rolled in 2011, taking its lore from a manga series by Sui Ishida. For the first three years, the series was entitled Weekly Young Jump but in 2014 that changed.

  • The Tokyo Ghoul series sold over 47 million copies worldwide
  • A TV anime adaptation began in July 2014
  • This was followed by a stage adaptation in July 2015
  • Then, a live-action film in July 2017

In the story, the world is ruled by ghouls who are the lions of the jungle. They dominate and eat human beings in a battle of the fittest of the fittest. It is no surprise that humans faced possible extinction.

You guessed just right. This is where the new Ghoul creeps in. One day, a human fighter named Ken Kaneki survives an attack by ghouls. He undergoes surgery, where some of his organs are replaced with ghoul parts. He becomes the Tokyo Ghoul.

Is Ken Kaneki in Dead by Daylight: Tokyo Ghoul?

Dead by Daylight: Tokyo Ghoul is about Ken Kaneki. As he struggles to survive, he must eat humans to stay alive. Even in the worst moments, he is a presence of terror.

During the game, players get to play the role of the Ghoul. Do not be fooled by the high school nerd figure that this half-human displays. Once the three tentacles erupt from his back, all hell breaks loose.

  • Powerful as A Ghoul: The study says that Kaneki has “the ability to navigate great distances in a flash, strike quickly, and shred flesh with gusto.”
  • Special Ability- Kagune Leap: The Ghoul uses his tentacles to leap over rubble, walls, and traps at impressive speed. He can even do two leaps at once!
  •  Enraged Mode: Rage is now a power spark as Kaneki leaps about, he can damage survivors in his way. When one of these humans is “afflicted with the Kagune Mark, sending The Ghoul into Enraged Mode. This is an amazing game mode.

With all this carnage and eating of humans, you must be wondering who is the bad guy in this game.

Is Kaneki good or bad?

According to the Villain Wiki at Fandom, Kaneki is the human hero with a story plot to save humans. You are as confused too, afterall, he feeds on Survivors who must unite to eliminate him.

“He would play a key role on ending the conflict between humans and ghouls, uniting the two species together. Although he is the main protagonist, Kaneki commits a variety of terrible acts over the course of the series as his more ruthless and troubled personality traits show themselves.”

So maybe Kanaki is good, but he does bad things. Or do you think he is bad now and will become good in the end? Here are some examples that will help you decide if Kaneki is good or bad.

  1. Hex: The Ghoul must inflict damage on Survivors to transform a Dull ToTem into a Hex: Totem. This sounds more like killing humans for magic, right?
  2. Hook Survivors: Another hunting spree is hooking survivors to earn points. Each new survivor is one point. Is that good or bad?

Whether the Ghoul will ever become good is left to see. Happy 10th Anniversary.

Can a human become a ghoul in Tokyo Ghoul?

There is a story in the Tokyo Ghoul Wiki that relates how a human experiment created the first ghouls. The story share that humans became ghouls back then, although in present day it is not possible.

“During the Dragon event, it is theorized that the ghoul race came to be hundreds of years in the past after an unknown individual first underwent an explosive reproduction of RC cells and experienced a Dragon-like transformation, releasing spores that mutated a number of humans into ghouls through ROS.”

Conclusion

Wherever you are in your gaming journey, you will find Dead by Daylight: Tokyo Ghoul, an experience of tension and terror. You will enjoy the dread and power found in the character of Ken Kaneki.
