Affleck became active on the screen mostly in Kevin Smith’s films such as Maiirats (1995) and Chasing Amy (1997). They both wrote the screenplay, acted, and directed the film, Goodwill Hunting (1999), for which they won the Golden Globe and Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay.
