April Pad is proud to announce October’s writing contest winner under the theme ‘All Eyes on India’. The winning article was written by Marie MacIntosh, a premium member.
During the month of October over 37 writers entered the writing competitions vying for several weekly and monthly prizes. The contestants were rewarded with the following prizes:
- Four weekly cash prizes awards of $7 each for the Best Article
- Two bi-weekly prizes of $35 for the Featured Article
- One Grand Prize of $500 which is being awarded today.
October’s Writing Contest Winner
MacIntosh is an upcoming writer who also won one of the Featured Articles prizes. Her winning article investigates the UPI E-commerce Wallet of India, which she was able to present in 350 words. She was excited when April Pad shared the winning notice with her and said:
‘I have never won a contest before…believe that it was only for the most talented writers. This is my third article, I don’t even own a blog..Thank you, April.’
Marie Macintosh has become the first winner since April Pad was launched in September 2023. Writers do not have to become premium to win a prize but are welcome to participate as free members. Three of the seven prizes rewarded this month went to free membership.
Free members are required to earn points by posting comments, writing articles, or referring friends. Although free members are not allowed to cash out their free points, they may use them to purchase services or items on the Pad store.
Premium members are not required to earn points in order to submit articles. However, they do earn points which they can later cash out via PayPal or make purchases at the Pad store. Premium members may earn points from comments, social sharing, writing articles, and referring their friends.
April Pad is already receiving entrants into the November writing contest. The new contest uses the theme ‘World Flags’. Members can write about any country flag of their choice. Articles have a minimum of 350 words and must have a title that begins with ‘Who, What, or How’.
Users can register completely free and submit an article for the contest. Articles that meet the writing guidelines may be published on April Pad.
