Emily Stone – My Favorite Movie Star

Spread the love

Males are not supposed to cry, and that is as old as age but Emily Stone is guilty. I know she is my favorite movie star and all that, but she has a way of captivating the world. She did so in Hollywood and she did so on TV.

When my great-grandmother died, I never shed a single tear. I was just a young lad and was already groomed by the older tearless men of my family. I have lost all the other closely held relatives – aunts, uncles, etc, and  I was undefeated. Until she dangled from the web.

I like the way Viastra Pen described this amazing heroine. “Affectionately called ‘Emma’, Emily Jean Stone was born on November 6, 1988, in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she grew up. Although plagued with epilepsy, she started acting when she was a child appearing in the theatrical drama The Wind in the Willows (2000).  Four years later she made her TV debut in the drama In Search of the New Partridge Family (2004).”

Why Is Emma Stone Guilty and Still My Favorite Movie Star

Emma Stone

The first time I saw Emma Stone, she was dangling from a spider web in a moment of dire despair. Suddenly, she walked off the big screen and handed me a handkerchief. Somehow, somewhere in the middle of all this Spiderman action film, she won a tear and became my favorite movie star.

I was surprised. I thought that my defeat would have wrecked me. That it would have somehow made me feel less, hating myself, or even being afraid to admit it later. I was completely wrong.

Stone was appearing in the Columbia Pictures production, The Amazing Spider-Man playing the role of Gwen Stacy. Directed by Marc Webb alongside Andrew Garfield, she emulated the love interest of a college kid torn between her dad and her hero.

Even though she did not win any of her four award nominations, it became clear that I was not the only one impacted by her superb performance. Her greatest achievement may still be her work on a heartless teenage boy who found freedom.

Finally, it would be unfair not to mention that I have watched all her movies and still get water-eyed over, and over again. Thank you, Emma.
