April Pad hosts a monthly writing contest among its registered members. Every month one writer can win the main prize of $500. Articles are submitted by the 30th of each except for February which will be on the 28th.
Q: What is the main Writing contest prize?
Answer: The primary contest prize is US$500 each month. However, free members can only win a maximum of 25% of the monthly value.
Q: What Can Participants Write About?
Answer: Each month the contest will focus on a selected theme, for example, ”All Eyes on India”. Writers must craft an original article about anything related to the theme that falls under one of the writing categories.
Q: Can Writers enter freely?
Answer: There are two options for participants Free or Premium. Free writers are required to earn 30 points to enter each contest. Premium writers are not required to earn points.
Q: How Long Does a Premium Membership Last?
Answer: All premium memberships are lifetime credits. Premium members may enter all contests.
Q: Can Members Buy Credits?
Answer: Free Members may purchase monthly or quarterly credits if they do not desire to earn these points.
Q: How often can a person enter these contests?
Answer: All members can submit one entry per month and may enter every month. Premium members may submit additional articles and earn up to $0.08 per word.
Q: How are the contests judged?
Answer: All winners will be selected by a mixture of criteria. 80% will be earned by the article’s conformity to in-house guidelines. Popular votes can earn the other 20%. Each member may vote for two entries.
